Ain’t Gonna Rain on our Detroit Baseball Parade!

The Series So Far: Exactly Where We Want Them

Listen, we all knew this wasn't going to be easy. The Seattle Mariners didn't stumble into the postseason—they earned their spot. But here's the thing about playing the Detroit Tigers in October 2025: you might steal a game in your house, but good luck when this series shifts to the corner of Woodward and Montcalm.

The ALDS is tied 1-1, and if you're a Tigers fan reading this with anything less than supreme confidence, I need you to take a deep breath and remember who we are. We're the mf’ing Gritty Tigers! We're the squad that turned "rebuild" into "reload" faster than you can say "Tork Bomb." We're Detroit, and we've been counted out so many times we've lost count.

Now we're coming home.

Why Comerica Park (RIP to That Name Soon) Is About to Become a House of Horrors for Seattle

Let's talk about our beautiful ballpark—affectionately known as Comerica Park for now, though we all know that sponsorship deal seems….seeeeee ya! So let’s send her out with a bang! Right now, what matters is that Games 3 and 4 are happening at OUR house.

You know what Seattle players are going to experience when they step onto that field? Forty-thousand-plus screaming Tigers fans who have waited YEARS for this moment. The energy at Comerica during the regular season was electric—now multiply that by about a thousand. The Mariners are about to find out what real playoff atmosphere feels like.

The Intangibles: Destiny, Momentum, and Detroit Grit

Here's something you can't quantify but absolutely matters: this team believes. Not in the fake, manufactured "we believe" way that teams say in press conferences. I'm talking about the genuine, battle-tested, "we've already proven everyone wrong" belief that comes from actually doing the impossible.

But here we are, tied 1-1 in the ALDS, two games away from the American League Championship Series.

Seattle is a good team with a great story. But Detroit? Detroit is DESTINY.

We've got the Motor City behind us. We've got a fanbase that has waited patiently through the wilderness years and is now ready to explode. We've got a manager who knows exactly which buttons to push. We've got starting pitching that can dominate. We've got a lineup that can manufacture runs or hit three-run homers. We've got everything we need.

The Path Forward: Two Wins and We're In

The math is simple. Win Game 3 at home. Win Game 4 at home. Advance to the ALCS and keep this magical season rolling.

Can Seattle steal a game at Comerica? Sure, it's possible. Anything's possible in playoff baseball. But if you're asking me what's PROBABLE? It's probable that this Tigers team, playing in front of the best fans in baseball, with elite pitching and a lineup that refuses to quit, is going to take care of business.

Game 3 is going to set the tone. We protect home field, we grab that 2-1 series lead, and suddenly Seattle's backs are against the wall. Then in Game 4, we finish what we started. We send the Mariners home with a nice "thanks for playing" and we start preparing for the ALCS.

Why This Time Feels Different

This isn't a team that's just happy to be in the playoffs. This is a team that legitimately believes they can win it all. And you know what? So do we.

The 2025 Tigers aren't satisfied with a Wild Card appearance. They're not content with just making the ALDS competitive. They want the whole damn thing, and they're two wins away from the ALCS to prove it.

Comerica Park Is About to Become a Madhouse

If you've got tickets to Games 3 or 4, congratulations—you're about to witness history. If you're watching from home, turn the volume up because you're going to want to hear that crowd. If you're watching from your favorite Detroit bar, get there early because every seat is going to be packed.

This is what we've been waiting for. This is October baseball in Detroit. This is our time.

Seattle, you've been warned. The series is tied 1-1, but it won't be for long. We're coming home, and we're bringing that ALCS berth with us.

Let's Go Eat

Two more wins, Detroit. Just two more wins, and we're moving on.

The Tigers are home. Comerica Park (or whatever we're calling it in a couple years) is about to erupt. Our pitching is ready. Our lineup is locked in. Our city is HUNGRY.

Seattle had their chance to take control of this series on their home turf. They couldn't do it. Now they have to come to our house, face our crowd, and try to beat us twice.

Good luck with that.

Game 3: Let's protect home field.
Game 4: Let's finish this.
ALCS: Here we come.
